Balanced chemical equation is as follows-

  • C3H8 + 5O2 --> 3CO2 + 4H2O.
  • In the above chemical equation, C3H8 is the chemical formula of propane, O2 is the chemical formula of oxygen, CO2 is the chemical formula of carbon dioxide and H2O is the chemical formula of water.
  • Propane is alkane which is colorless, odourless and non toxic in nature.
  • It is used as fuel due to its cost effective property.
