Deciduous forest are found in foothills of himalayas eastern slopes of western ghats and odisha.

These forest need record rai8nfall between 100 and 200 cm.

Two types of animals found in deciduous forest are white-tailed deer, raccoons and plants such as Maples and beeches are found in these forests.

Characteristics of tropical wet and dry climate regions located in South Asia are:

  • temperature staying around 80° F, which means temperature is quite warm which is favourable for many plants and animals.
  • Precipitation; temperature cause intense heating of surface of the earth.
  • Abundant animals and plants life are found.

The two types of ecosystem found in this climate region are forest ecosystem and grassland ecosystem.

Plant such as Epiphytes, orchids, bromeliads, rubber tree etc are found in dry and wet tropical climate and animals such as wildbeast, gazzelles, zebra, elephant, giraffe are found in tropical climate.
