Answer1: Ants make their nests in the ground and they will build very elaborate tunnels and chambers to house eggs, food and their young underground.

Ants teach us the necessity to plan and look ahead. They store their food during seasons of plenty, so that they will have adequate amounts in times of scarcity. They set goals and work together to achieve it.

Answer2: The master call is a strange howling, hissing sound. It sounds as if a snake and a tiger were fighting each other. This noise have to be made in the air. When an elephant listens to the master call, he uproots the trees and makes a passage through the jungle to the house.

Answer3: Soapy prefers prison to charity (homeless shelters, etc.) because he feels his privacy is invaded when he takes advantage of charity.

Answer4:Deserts do not have moisture cover. So, the temperature rises during the day and falls rapidly at night.

Answer5: (i) The elephant can keep away flies.

(ii) He can pull up things from below and take it to his mouth. Two things that the elephant can't do with his trunk are: He can't use it as a leg.

Answer6:Finding good twigs for Kari took a long time because it was not an easy job to get luscious twigs and saplings for him. One had to have a very sharp hatchet to cut down these twigs. It took half an hour to sharpen the hatchet because if a twig is mutilated an elephant will not touch it.

That's It!!!
