(i) (2,0)
(ii) (-5, -7)
(iii) (0, -5)
(iv) (6, 3)
(0) (0
(1
(vi) |– 3,4)
2. Write any two points lying on the positive direction of y-axis.
3. In which quadrant do the point (-2,5) lie?
4. A point has both the coordinates negative, where does it lie?
5. The point (a, b) lies in the IV quadrant. Find which of a orb is greater?

Answer:

(i) on x-axis

(ii) 3rd quadrant

(iii) on y-axis

(iv) 1st quadrant

(v) on y-axis

(vi) 2nd Cartesian plane

2. (0,1), (0,2), (0,3),...... so many.

3. (-2,5) lies in the 2nd quadrant.

4. 3rd quadrant.

5. 'a' is greater than 'b' because in the fourth quadrant x axis is positive and y axis is negative . as we always know that positive nos are greater than negative numbers x axis has greater value in th fourth quadrant.

6. Coordinates of P=(-2,3)

Coordinates of Q=(-3,5)

I'm the coordinate (x,y)

x is abscissa

y is ordinate

abscissa of P = -2

abscissa of Q = -3

Abscissa of P - Abscissa of Q= -2(-3)= -2+3=1

Hence, abscissa of P - abscissa of Q is 1.
