A line dance is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows, all facing either each other or in the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time. Unlike circle dancing, line dancers are not in physical contact with each other.

Answer:

Following are the characterstics of a line dance :

  • A line dance is a choreographed dance in which a group of people dance  to a repetitive sequence of steps while arranged in one or more lines or rows. These lines generally all point in the same direction or, more rarely, face each other.
  • Obviously, the main feature that sets line dances apart from other dances is that they are performed online. But it's also  unique in  that it involves choreographed steps that are repeated one after the other. The most popular move performed in the line dance is known as the vine.
  • Also known as a vine, it usually involves one foot moving to the side, the other crossing behind you, the first foot moving to the side again, and the second foot joining the first. , Line dances became very popular because men and women could dance  in unison without having to physically touch each other.
  • When we think of line dancing, we usually associate it with country western music and dance. However, since it has its origins in folk dance, it is  still very strongly associated with folk music and folk dance.
