1. Which of the following are sets?

(i) Collection of  prime numbers up to 100 is a set , because it has a collection of well defined objects as the set of collection of prime numbers will be same

for every one .

Set of Prime numbers upto 100

P = { 2, 3 , 5, ....... 89, 97 }

(ii) The collection of rich people in India is not a set , because it is not a collection of well defined objects as the set of collection of rich people in India will be different for different people .

(iii) The collection of all rivers in India is a set , because it is a collection of well defined objects as the set of collection of all rivers in India will not differ from person to person .

(iv) The collection of good Hockey players is not a set , because it is not a collection of well defined objects as the set of collection of good hockey person varies in the opinions of different people .
