1) Chanakya (Kautilya) played an important role in the Chandragupta capture of Magadha. Explanation: Chanakya also played an 'important role' in the 'establishment' of the 'Maurya Empire'. He then went on to become the 'chief advisor' of both 'Chandragupta and 'his son'.

2)Megasthenes was an ancient Greek historian and diplomat. He was sent as an ambassador to Chandragupta Maurya in Pataliputra by Seleucus I Nicator. He described India in his book Indica. ... He felt that Indica contained a number of stories which were not based on reality

3) Ashoka played a major role in spreading Buddhism by depicting the Buddhist edicts on his pillars which were constructed after he converted to Buddhism. ...
