In 1920 there broke out a revolt of the peasants in protest against the anti peasant attitude of the feudal lords in Hardai, Barabanki, Sitapur, Baraich and other regions of U.P. The revolt was known as the Eka revolt or Eka movement. The control of this movement was once went over to a leader of the backward classes, whose name was Madari Pasi.
