1.Why are Electric bulbs filled with unreactive gases such as argon

2. Why does cord of electric heater does not glow while the heating element does ??

1. their is presence of unreactive gas in bulb like argon because Because argon is inert and doesn't react even at higher temperatures.
While nitrogen is also mostly inert, it is economical to use than argon.

2. cord of electric heater does not glow because it is made of copper which is good conductor of electricity so when electricity is passed form it, it do not release any heat because resistance is very less but in heating element resistance is very hing thats why it produces heat and light when electricity is passed from it
