Explanation:

Tropical deciduous forests are also known as monsoon forests because the leaves of these forests are shedded during dry season and re-grow during monsoon season.

The forests in central India receives rainfall due to monsoon season only that's why it is also called 'monsoon Forests'.

In western ghats region like tamilnadu , Karnataka etc they receives rainfall not only due to monsoon season but also due to effect of bay of bengal. It plays a vital role in bringing rainfall.

So,here it has both sea moderate effect as well as monsoon effects that's why it is called as monsoon forests.
