1. The boys returned the horse to Byro not because they were fraid but because their conscience pricked them. When John Byro met the boys, John Byro recognized his horse but refused to believe that Mourad and Aram had stolen it.
2. Khosrove was the uncle of Aram and Mourad. He was an enormous man with a powerful head of black hair and had the biggest moustache in the San Joaquin Valley. It was their craze for horses which made them steal one. However, after keeping the horse for few months, the farmer John Byro visited their house and saw the horse, he however didnot say anything to the boys rather he praised their family for it's honesty. This is the point where the boys realized that in order to keep their family tradition of honesty alive they would have to return the horse to the rightful owner.

It was also believed that the tribe that Mourad was the natural descendant of the crazy streak in their tribe. Uncle Khosrove’s craziness was out of the world.
