Answer:

Early humans lead a nomadic life as they moved from place to place in search of food and water. They did this because the animals on which they were dependent for food moved to distant places.

The early humans left the nomadic life because:

  • They started agriculture and cultivating lands.
  • They started building houses.
  • They started rearing animals.
  • They settled near the areas where there was availability of water.

Initially the humans were nomads because they were regularly in search of food, water, shelter and security. By settling at some place they felt they could survive for longer and so they started following activities.

Advent of agriculture:

  • Humans invented agricultural techniques and started  cultivating land.
  • Agricultural crops required water, attention as they took time to grow and harvest.

Nomads started building houses/shelter:

  • Nomads were always in danger of survival as they were surrounded by wild carnivorous animals.
  • Shelter made them assure that they are safe and secure.
  • It was not easy to carry the offspring with them everywhere.

Rearing of animals:

  • Humans began animal farming as through this animal products were easily available and they did not have to risk their lives to hunt big animals.

Settlement near water:

  • Water is sparsely available in many areas.
  • Every organism requires water for survival. Humans settled near water sources.
