1.The poet suspects that he probably won't ever come back to take the alternate road because he knows that even if he wishes to return,life won't allow him to do so.By then,he would have transitioned to a point in his life where he no longer be youth.
2.It means that chose a path which was less trodden upon.He took an uncommon way which very few people took and that has made all the difference in his life

1.) The poet suspects that he won't come back because he knew that decision once taken cannot be undone as one decision leads to another. He promises he would come back but he knew in his heart that won't be able to return.

2.) The poet has taken the road that was travelled less. He says this decision has made all the difference.
