Answer:

Here is your answer....

The intensity of devastations caused by the Second World War made the people of the world so scared that they again felt the necessity for forming an International Organization for maintaining world peace and security . After long discussions and deliberations among the International leaders, finally 51 states of the world put their signatures to the UN charter by recognising the formation of the UNO at the Sanfrancisco conference held on 24th October, 1945. Thus, on that very day the international peace keeping organization, the UNO came into being.

  • The name "United Nations", coined by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt was first used in the Declaration by United Nations of 1 January 1942, during the Second World War, when representatives of 26 nations pledged their Governments to continue fighting together against the Axis Powers.
  • The UN was established at Sanfrancisco .
  • 24th October is celebrated as the UN day every year.
