1. Two magnetic field lines do not intersect each other due to the fact that the resultant force on a north pole at any point can be only in one direction. ... this means that resultant force on a north place at the point of intersecting will be along two directions, which is not possible.

2. The compass needle is a small magnet. That's why when a compass needle is brought near a bar magnet, its magnetic field lines interact with that of the bar magnet. Hence, a compass needle gets deflected near the magnet bar.

3.R = 220^2/100 Ω = 484 Ω. This is the resistance of the bulb. When V = 110 V, power consumed = V^2/R = 110^2/484 = 25 W. So, 25 W power is consumed when it is operated on 110 V.

4. An ammeter is a measuring device used to measure the electric current in a circuit. A voltmeter is connected in parallel with a device to measure its voltage, while an ammeter is connected in series with a device to measure its current.
