Answer:

1.Water always moves down the slope, i.e., from higher elevation to lower elevation. And sea is always at a lower elevation. So water flow down to the sea. We know that water(liquids) always flow down from a higher to a lower surface and since sea is lower than hills the above mentioned phenomenon occurs

2.When a book is place on a table that is at rest, the force of friction is acting on it. If there was no frictional force it is possible that the book will slide here and there. Friction is the opposite force that acts on a body. Overall, frictional force helps in maintaining equilibrium on the world

3.Examples of force fields include magnetic fields, gravitational fields, and electrical fields

Answer:

1) Because the source of the water are mountains and hilly areas where it precipitates a lot in the form of rain or snow. Since, the water from the source is melting, hence the water flows due to the gravity and when it flows it should go somewhere because the water never ends and hence flowing through the land, it joins the sea and thus form river basins.

2) No, because it always acts on moving objects.

3)i) ln junkyard magnetic force is used in lifting the junk.

ii) In maglev ( magnetic levitation) trains for transport purposes
