We eat fruits and vegetables because they are the source of vitamins and minerals for our body which helps as a defence to diseases. Plants need water to survive as they use it for photosynthesis . It's a process for making food for plants

yes plants also need minerals like we need plants name the water which present inside the soil collected through their roots and transfer through the whole part of the plant and they feed upon it as a food the water which absorb contain a lot of minerals
