Answer:

1 ] many micro organisms live inside the soil and is dependent on it. humans also depend upon soil for their survival because it is the basic necessity for agriculture etc. without soil it is impossible to stay alive on this earth. thus we can say that soil is called the foundation of life on earth

2]Soil is formed through the process of rock weathering. Weathering is the breakdown of rocks into smaller particles when in contact with water (flowing through rocks), air or living organisms. ... This acidifies water in rocks leading to further chemical reaction with rock minerals.

3 ] Water and Wind are agents of Soil Erosion as they carry away the top layer of soil causing Soil Erosion. Water : In heavy rain or Floods soil gets carried because of water coming with high speed and heavy force. Top layer of Soil gets carried away which makes soil infertile and causes Soil Erosion

4] Over a period of time, rivers tend to change their course due to the rocks present at the shores. ... The speed of the flow of the river is changed due to the obstruction in the river bed. This further gives rise to the meandering process, wherein the river flows faster, there will be less sediment deposition.

5] Man's ill gudged activities such as deforestation, overgrazing and faulty methods of agriculture have made soil erosion a serious national problem. Besides diversion of natural drainage courses, wrong orientation of roads and railways, embankments and bridges have also led to soil erosion.

6]Following methods are normally adopted for conserving soil:

Afforestation: ...

Checking Overgrazing: ...

Constructing Dams: ...

Changing Agricultural Practices: ...

(i) Crop Rotation: ...

(ii) Strip Cropping: ...

(iii) Use of Early Maturing Varieties:
