In the poem, ‘Foreign Lands’ written by Robert Louis, the speaker of the poem wishes to look at fairyland in the last stanza.

Each stanza of the poem is subjected to the thoughts of a child at different times. Here, the author even talks indirectly about different stages of the life of a human.

The child in the poem would wish to visit and experience fairyland where children are at freedom and would dine at five and play with all the playthings which come alive.

Indirectly the author means that, after the speaker sees all his life filled with adventures and joy, when he becomes older he would again become a child.
