Question:-

1. Why does the colour of copper sulphate solution change when an iron nail is dippe iit?

Answer:-

1)  Reddish brown deposits on iron (these are of Copper)

2) Colour of the solution turns from blue to light green.

3) Iron is above in the reactivity series than Copper.

4) Copper Sulphate(CuSO4) is blue in color while Ferrous Sulphate(FeSO4) in light green in color.

5) The solution changes it color from Blue to Light Green.

The reaction will be:-

            Fe (s) + CuSO4 (aq) → FeSO4 (aq) + Cu (s)

Question:-

2.Write the balanced equation for the following chemical reactions.

Hydrogen + Chlorine → Hydrogen chloride

Answer:-

Here is the balanced equation.

                    H2 (g) + Cl2 (g) → 2HCl (g)
