1.Why is it not advisable to use a clinical thermometer to measure the temperature of any object other than human body?

2. Why should we never keep the clinical thermometer directly under the sun/ near a flame?

1 . clinical thermometer cannot be used to measure high temperatures because it has been designed to measure only human body temperature which varies over a short range if a clinical thermometer is used to measure high temperatures it will get damaged.........

2. the clinical thermometer is designed to measure the temperature of human body only .

thermometer has the range of 35° Celsius to 42 degree Celsius .. it may break in the sun on the flame ....
