Distribution of monsoon rains during the last 10 years has changed. In recent past, monsoon rains touched the mainland 15 days to 1 month later, then few weeks later were activated. This natural phenomenon is affecting the rain-fed agriculture in almost all the countries.

Rainfall is depended on the climate as well as on the longitudinal and latitudinal extent of a place

So some places such as the coastal areas receives moderate rainfall whereas some continental parts of India receives high as well as low rainfall

Latitudinal extent of India is vast so different places have different conditions of temperature pressure and winds prevailing so different amount of rainfall is distributed among them
