Answer:

1 ) Mesolithic Age was a ancient cultural stage that existed between the Paleolithic Period with its chipped stone tools, and the Neolithic Period with its polished stone tools. It is also called Microlithic age as the tools used were chipped stone tools also known as microliths.

2) The Mesolithic hunter was able to exploit a wider range of animal and vegetable food sources as compared to Palaeolithic one. It was also the final period of hunter-gatherer cultures in Europe.

3) Scrapers were used for cleaning animal skins in the process of making leather. Burins were used for carving or engraving wood and bone, like a chisel. Blades were used as knives and microliths were tiny flints that were glued/fixed to wooden shafts to make arrows or spears for hunting.

4 )Bhimbetka rock shelters

Amchha Khurd

Adamgadh Hills
