1.

Mitochondria are cell organelles present in the eukaryotic cells. They are involved in the cellular respiration. They releases energy from food. They generate energy rich molecules, ATP from cellular respiration which is later used for other process. Hence, mitochondria are called as the powerhouses of the cell.

2.

Cells requires energy in the form of ATP created within the cells by mitochondria in all of the following things, you may choose one to write as your answer. They are as follows:

- Cells need energy to survive and grow.

- Cells need energy to breakdown complex food molecules into simpler substances.

- Muscles cells use energy to build long muscle proteins out of the small amino acid molecules.

- Pathogens and harmful bacteria need to be broken down and destroyed so as to not harm the body. This function also requires cells to use energy.

- Cells also need energy to break down carbohydrates into simple sugars that the cell can then use for energy as well.

Besides these, there are many more functions of the cells that require it to use energy.

3.

its also called the vacuolar membrane, the tonoplast is the cytoplasmic membrane surrounding a vacuole, separating the vacuolar contents from the cell's cytoplasm. As a membrane, it is mainly involved in regulating the movements of ions around the cell, and isolating materials that might be harmful or a threat to the cell.

Vacuoles are important part of PLANT CELLS.

The membrane of the vacuole is known as Vacuolar membrane TONOPLAST.

4.

Adenosine triphosphate

5.

The three substances stored in vacuoles for a plant cell are waste products, water, small molecules, and proteins that are used in germination.

Vacuoles are the empty space in the plant cell which is very important for the cell because in that space the plant saves water and glucose for their growth and development.

This present in the animals also there they use it for the ingestion and the digestion of the food.
