●The Indian Army comprised of Muslim and Hindus. The British took advantage of it. They provided them with guns. So, as to use the guns the people had to bit its end. The British made those end parts from the flesh of pigs and cows. The Hindus worshipped cows and the Muslims weren't allowed to eat or touch pigs. That is why, they couldn't use many guns and hence the revolt of 1857 failed.
● The Indians were not technologically advanced compared to the British.
