Sound has air medium to travel so it travels to a neighbouring room,But light needs a trabsparent medium to travel which is not provided by the walls of room so it not visible to another room.

The sound produced in the neighboring room is audible because the sound needs the medium to travel and the medium present in the neighboring and your room is same that is air therefore, we can listen to the sound produced.
However,
Light can be seen only if there is any transparent medium present between the source and the observer and the wall is not a transparent medium, as it is made up of cement and bricks however, if the wall is of glass or any similar transparent medium we can see the lit candle in the neighboring room.
Air is a transparent medium that's why if the candle is placed in the same room it will be visible.
