Ans - 1) Newspaper carried report about bravery of village boy who had come face to face with tiger while returning home by village path . Now, Swami fill that if was not possible for the boy to fight the tiger and must have been strong and grown up person done this.

Ans 2) Swami remembered all the stories he had heard about ghost and devils. He recollected his chum Main seeing a devil in the banyan tree at his street end. Swami also remembered the references to Munisami's father spitting out blood after being slapped by a devil on his way home
