1. With reference to the content given in NCERT, find out what are the three laws of

Motion?

Newton’s laws of motion are an inherent part of our everyday life. Starting from the

beginning of the day till the end, Newton’s laws find their applications in a number of

activities we do.

What to do:

1. With reference to the content given in NCERT, find out what are the three laws of

Motion?

2. Give examples showing applicability of the laws in everyday life situations.

(think in reference to walking, playing, driving etc). Also Paste pictures.

Answer:

1. Newton’s first law states that, if a body is at rest or moving at a constant speed in a straight line, it will remain at rest or keep moving in a straight line at constant speed unless it is acted upon by a force

Newton’s second law states that the time rate of change of the momentum of a body is equal in both magnitude and direction to the force imposed on it. F = ma

Newton’s third law states that when two bodies interact, they apply forces to one another that are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. The third law is also known as the law of action and reaction.

2. I. the person standing in bus falls behind and back when the bus accelerates form rest or applies break.( paste picture of man standing in bus)

II. we walk on road using 3rd law of motion. to move forward we apply force in the road and the road apply force on us. ( photo of a man walking)

Answer:

1. Newton's first law asserts that if a body is at rest or moving in a straight line at a constant speed, it will stay at rest or continue to move in a straight path at a constant speed unless it is acted with by a force.

Newton's second law states that the force imposed on a body equals its time rate of change of momentum in both magnitude and direction. F=ma.

Newton’s third law states that when two bodies interact, they apply forces to one another that are equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. The third law is also known as the law of action and reaction.

2. I. the person standing in bus falls behind and back when the bus accelerates form rest or applies break. (paste picture of a man standing in bus)

II. We use the third law of motion to walk on the road. We exert effort on the road in order to move forward, and the road exerts force on us. (a picture of a person walking)
