1.

WORD PROBLEMS:

Running Exercise The doctor has told Devi Prasad to run 2 km every day to stay fit. He took one round of this field. How far did he run?

Ans: One round of the field = 500 m+ 500 m + 500 m + 500m=2000m 2000m = 2000/1000 = 2 km

2.

The field was very far from his home. So he chose a park nearby. The boundary of the park was about 400 metres long.

How many rounds of the park must Devi Prasad run to complete 2 km?

Ans: Length of the boundary of the park = 400 m

400 m = 1 round

2km = 2000 m

So 2000/400 = 5 rounds

3. How many kms will he run for 8 rounds? Ans: For 1 round = 400 m For 8 rounds = 400 x 8 = 3200 m 1km = 1000 m So 3200 m = 3200/1000 = 3.2003 km 200 m

question first answer

One round of the field = 500 m+ 500 m + 500 m + 500m=2000m 2000m = 2000/1000 = 2 km

second question answer

Ans: Length of the boundary of the park = 400 m

400 m = 1 round

2km = 2000 m

So 2000/400 = 5 rounds

third question answer

For 1 round = 400 m For 8 rounds = 400 x 8 = 3200 m 1km = 1000 m So 3200 m = 3200/1000 = 3.2003 km 200 m
