When I was about 5 i was terribly afraid of the Harry potter character “Dobby” to the point that the mention of him would make me burst into tears. Because I was terrified of him he stuck around in my mind a lot and i seemed to be always thinking of him.
Bed times were usually a struggle for me and I always slept with a light on to make sure the Dbbies caouldn’t get me which is were my dream started. In my dream i would wake up in my room, the sky would be dark blue and i could tell everyone in my house was asleep. In this dream i would have the sudden urge to go downstairs depite knowing what would happen. There was a room in the corner of my house which always scared me because little light ever got in to the room due to the towering trees blocking out the sun. It was also the furthest room away from the kitchen where most of my family tended to be in. In my dream i would walk down my stairs and go into this room where i was greeted with silence. I would then always say “Dobby are you there” despite knowing whatwould happen next. Doppy would crawl out of one of the bookshelves and say “yes jack” before pulling me closer to him. At this point i would be screaming for help from my parents but i knew they couldn’t here me because i couldn’t even here myself.
I would then wake up covered in sweat and tears and go see my parents. This dream happened almost every night for years and has left me permanently afraid of Dobby. One night i had a different dream where instead Dobby came to me and walked into my room and picked me up. I do not know where he put me but after that it just increased my hatrid for that thing.
My Dobby hating days are over now and I no longer fear the being but only recently i was scrolling through the trending section of twitter where i stumbled across a video which shows dobby setting off someones security cameras and showing him in plain sight. Now 90% of me is sure that it is fake but there is 10% of me that believes that that what ws on that video was real due to the things i experienced prior to the video being released
