The chemical formula of washing soda is Na2CO3.10H2O. Washing soda can be obtained by heating baking soda. On heating, baking soda gives sodium carbonate, carbon dioxide and water.
Washing soda (also known as sodium carbonate, sal soda, or soda ash) is another salt of carbonic acid (from CO2); its molecular formula is Na2CO3. It is more alkaline than baking soda, but not as alkaline as lye.
2. Ethanoic acid reacts with sodium carbonate to produce carbon dioxidegas. To prove the presence of-this gas, allow it to pass through lime water. It turns lime water milky.
Ethanoic acid reacts with sodium carbonate to produce carbon dioxide gas. This is proved by passing the released gas through lime water. The presence of the gas turns the lime watermilky.

1) The chemical formula for washing soda is: Na2CO3.10H2O
On heating baking soda(NaHCO3), we get sodium carbonate (Na2CO3), Water and Carbon dioxide.
by the recrystallization of this sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) we get sodium carbonate deca-hydrate (NA2CO3.10H2O) Washing soda.
2) Ethanoic Acid- CH3COOH.
Sodium carbonate- Na2CO3
CH3COOH + Na2CO3 ============> CH3COONa + CO2 + H2O
after the reaction we'll get sodium salt of carboxylic acid which is sodium ethanoate. by passing the gas in lime water we can check the presence of carbon dioxide gas...!
HOPE THIS WILL HELP!
