3) Alt+W

4) The many modes of operation in networking.

Two of them are -

i) Batch mode -

In this mode, programs and data are simultaneously loaded into a computer's memory and are then processed. While the program is being executed, user intervention is not entertained. If the program produces some errors, then the processing needs to be abandoned and requires to be started from the initial phase. So before processing the data in this mode, program must be tested and data must be input correctly.

ii) Real time system -

Real Time Systems are those systems that perform the tasks within a required or specified time. Time is very important factor in such systems. These systems may be grouped into the following two categories:

i) Real time online system

ii) Real time offline system.

5) Loging out means to end access to a computer system or a website. Logging out informs the computer or website that the current user wishes to end the login session.

Log out is also known as log off, sign off or sign out.

The period between the login and the logout is the duration of the login session, which is the period that a user can perform his/her actions. Logging out can be accomplished in two ways: by using the log-out option provided by an application or by the system, or by shutting down the computer or closing an application without explicitly logging out. Some websites automatically log out a user if the login session has become inactive for long periods. There are certain applications that provide auto logout and multi-application logouts.

Logging out helps prevent other users from accessing the system without verifying their credentials. It also helps protect the current user's access or prevent unauthorized actions on the current login session and is thus an important part of security. Logging out ensures that user access and user credentials are safe after the login session.
