Respected Sir,

I shall deem it a great favour if you publish the miserable condition of the poor people of Assam and other adjoining villages in the columns of your paper and also issue an appeal for help to these people.

Here , There are many areas of people who goes to work far away from their own houses , Students who go far to learn from their schools. As there is no transportation facility, We are finding it difficult to travel from one place to another. As you well know that, everyone won't have their own vehicles, and to climb up the bus we need to walk for some distance, Yet there isn't adequate buses to travel on. Transportation will be equally useful for the young and the old. So , We hope you will like to look into the matter immediately and take some stern measures regarding transportation facility.

Thanking you

Yours faithfully ,

Jorhat

Informal letters are friendly in tone and written generally to persons you know well. They have a specific layout !! Under this heading would come

  • Letters to close relatives (father , mother , brothers , sisters , uncle , aunt , cousins etc , and friends )
  • Letters to friends of your parents , acquaintances, former Headmaster, Principal , teachers, persons who are not known personally but known to you by repute whom you invite to become your chief guest etc ,

Formal letters are business like in tone , matter of fact in content and written generally to persons not personally known - government departments, business firms , public organizations, municipal authorities , etc.
