1. Write a short note about state legislative assembly:

Legislative assembly is a term referred in some countries to legislature or to one of one of it's branches. Legislature is a assembly which is authorized to make laws on political entity. Legislative assembly is generally used for counting number of countries which also includes the member state of commonwealth of other countries.

Legislative assemblies plays very important role in commonwealth games either as National or sub-national parties. Sovereign nations like Costa Rica, Thailand, Bolivia and Tonga are also national legislatures which are also called as Legislative assemblies. In India, The lower house of each state constitute is called as State Legislative assembly.

2. Locate and study Indian states and union territories, it's capitals.

India is a great and unique country with great bio-diversity, culture, tradition, regionalism. It is a country with the population of 1.37 Billion which includes people from various religions. India is a country which is also called as "Country of Unity". There are about 29 states and 9 Union Territories in India. Rajasthan is a largest state in India and Goa is a smallest state in India. In terms of Area, India is a 7th largest country in the world with the area of almost 3 Million Square kilometers.

States in India:

1. Andhra Pradesh  - State is located near the center of India (Madhya Pradesh). Capital of Andhra Pradesh is Amravati. State was divided in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in November 2014. Andhra Pradesh is 7th largest state in India with the population of 4.21 crores according to 2011.

2. Arunachal Pradesh  - It is southernmost state of India with the capital Itnagar. It's population is 1.2 Million according to 2012 census. And it is a cold state with low temperature.

3. Assam  - Assam is a northernmost state of India which is famous for it's wildlife and tea plantations. Dispur is the capital of Assam and Guwahti is the largest city in Assam. It's population is 30 Million with the area of 78,000 km².

4. Bihar - State is located in Eastern India. Patna is the capital of Bihar. Nitish Kumar is the Current Chief Minister of Bihar. Literacy rate of Bihar is 63%.

5. Chhattisgarh - State is located in Middle east of India. It is known for it's heavily forested area and wildlife. Population of Chattisgarh is 25 Million and this state was founded in year 2000.

6. Goa  - Goa is a smallest state in India which is located near the Maharashtra. It is a great tourist attraction in India. Panaji is the capital of Goa and area of Goa is 3,700 kilometer square.

7. Gujarat  - It is the 5th largest state in India with the population of 62 Million. Ahemdabad is a largest city and Gandhinagar is the Capital of Gujarat. Gujarat is also famous for largest statue in the world "Statue of Unity".

8. Haryana  - Haryana is located in Northern east part of India. It is a sate located near Delhi and it has population of 25 Million. It shares it's borders with Delhi.

9. Himachal Pradesh  - It is Northern Indian state with the population of 6.8 Million and it is famously known for place of winter as it snows all the year. It is mostly covered with Mountains.

10. Jharkhand  - Jharkhand is eastern state of India famously known for great waterfalls and Jain temples. It's capital is Ranchi and the state was formed in year 2000.

11. Karnataka  - It is 6th largest state in India with the literacy rate of 75%. It's official language is Kannada. It's Capital city is Bangalore. And it has population of 64 Million.

12. Kerala  - Kerala state is located in southern India. It is famous for it's palm line beaches and slopes of tea and coffee. It is a 23rd largest state in India. It's population is 34 Million.

13. Madhya Pradesh  - It is located at almost center of India. It is a 2nd largest state in India with the population of 73 Million. It's capital city is Bhopal. Bhopal is a sub-capital of India. Kamal Nath is a current Chief Minister of India.

14. Maharashtra  - Maharashtra is a 3rd largest state in India with the famous capital city Mumbai. Marathi is official language of Maharashtra and population of Maharashtra is 110 Million which is 2nd most populated in India. It's area is 307,000 km square and it was formed in year 1960.

15. Manipur  - It is north-east Indian state. It ranks at 24th in Area rank. It's capital is Imphal and it has population of 2.4 Million. It was formed in 1972.

16. Meghalaya  - It is northern state famous for waterfalls. It has population of 3.2 Million with the area of 22,000 square kilometers. Shilong is the Capital of Meghalaya.

17. Mizoram  - It is North-east state of India with capital Aizwal. It's population is 1.2 Million and Mizo is official language of Mizoram. It ranks 25th in the terms of Area.

23. Tamil Nadu  - It is a south Indian state with the capital city Chennai. Tamil nadu ranks 10th in terms of Area. The state was formed in year 1956 and it is famous for Dravidian styled hindu temples.

24. Telangana  - It is newly formed state of India. It was formed in year 2014 in the month of June. The beautiful city Hyderabad is the capital of Telengana. It's population is 33.5 Million and it ranks 15th in terms of Area.

25. Tripura  - It is northeast state of India. It is mostly covered with hills and mountains. It's capital is Agartala and the state was formed in year 1972. It ranks 27th in terms of Area.

26. Uttar Pradesh  - Uttar Pradesh is a most populated state of India. It has population of almost 200 Million. It ranks 4th in terms of Area and Lucknow is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Yogi Adityanath is the current Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh.

27. Uttarakhand  - It is northern state of India. It is crossed by Himalayas and  it is famous for hindi pilgrimige sites. Dehradun is the capital city of Uttarakhand. Hindi and Sanskrit are the official languages.

28. West Bengal  - It is eastern state of India located between Bay of Bengal and Himalayas. It ranks 13th in terms of Area. Kolkata is a capital of west Bengal. It has population of almost 90 Million. Mamata Banerjee is current Cheif Minister of West Bengal.

Union Territories in India:

1. Andaman and Nicobar Islands  - It is a union territory of India which is compromised of more than 500 islands. It has area of 8,250 km square. It has population of 3.8 lakhs.

2. Dadra and Nagar Haveli  - It is located in western India. It has two geographical entities: One from Gujarat (Dadra) and one from Maharashtra (Nagar Haveli). It has population of 3 lakhs.

3. Jammu and Kashmir  - It is formerly Indian state (1950-2019). The Article 370 was applied on Jammu Kashmir and it was declared to be as Union Territory. It's winter capital is Jammu and Summer capital is Shimla.

4. Ladakh  - Ladakh is a major region in Jammu Kashmir. It has area of 55,000 km square. It has been subject of dispute between India, Pakistan and China since 1947. It's capital is Leh.

5. Lakshadweep  - It is located near the coasts of Kerala. It's capital is Kawaratti and it was formed in year 1956. It's population is 65,000 and it includes only one district.

6. National Capital Territory of Delhi  - Delhi is administrative union territory of India. The capital of Union Territory Delhi is the capital of India. Only single Delhi city covers a huge area of 1400 km². The population of Delhi is 2 crores.

7. Puducherry  - It is formerly known as Pondicherry and it is located near the Tamil nadu. It is a french colonial territory. It's population is 3 lakhs and includes 4 districts.

8. Daman and Diu - This includes two seprate areas. One is Daman and another is Diu. It is located near Arabian Sea. It has area of 112 km square and includes 3 districts.
