Explanation:

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, usually as a result of human activities. Water bodies include for example lakes, rivers, oceans, aquifers and groundwater. Point sources have one identifiable cause of the pollution, such as a storm drain, wastewater treatment plant or stream.

1.Water pollution is the pollution of bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers, seas, the oceans, as well as groundwater. It occurs when pollutants reach these bodies of water, without treatment. Waste from homes, factories and other buildings get into the water bodies and as a result water gets contaminated .

Sources of Water Pollution

Sewage (Waste Water) Sewage is another name for waste water from domestic and industrial processes. ...

Agricultural Pollution. The agriculture industry covers 76% of the land area of England and Wales. ...

Oil Pollution. ...

Radioactive Substances. ...

River dumping. ...

Marine Dumping.

2.When the outside temperature becomes less than 0°C the upper part of the sea or oceans freezes, the lower part is not frozen and its liquid. For instance, if the upper layer is around 0 degrees the lower layer of water will be around 4 degress and since ice is heavier so it floats on top and does not disturb the marine life. So if the outside temperature is dropped, marine life go a bit deeper area of the water and stays alive.
