A family lived in a house near the Yamuna. That day when the incident happened daddy went to another village for work. ‘I will be home by a day' dad said before going for work.
I was his son, Jacob. I was filling the tubs with my sister while he said. He waved me and my sister a goodbye and left. I could hear my mother shouting back to my father ‘Be careful, it's rainy these days'. ‘That is why I am going so that we can get foods, all the crops got spoiled because of the weather'. Me and my sister, Anna could see our mothers' reaction change when dad said that.
Our mother has been very weak the past few days for not eating enough food. So she has been in rest, probably not doing the main house course. Me and Anna was doing all of them, but now I am incharge of the house as I was elder than Anna. Honestly I didn't have any problem in doing the house course it was actually fun.
It's being hours rainy and our dad out for work. Anna was cooking while I was cleaning the floor, when I heard screaming of the villagers. I rushed out to see what it was, and heard people screaming ‘Flood! Flood! The damp controller broke!' I didn't have a minute left to think, I held Anna's hand and carried mom in a carraige and started running, but it was too late. The next second my whole family was under water and my vision got blurry and I was black out. I don't what happened after that but I found myself in a hospital when I opened my eyes. I asked myself ‘How am I here?? Where is my family??'. I was cut off from my thoughts when a boy spoke. ‘Your family is absolutely fine and a boy saved of the villagers from the flood'. I thought that person might have probably read my thoughts. ‘But where are they?' I asked. He pointed to a direction where I saw my sister laughing with my mother and father. I missed there smile.
