by promoting the cottage industry”
As we all know that due to the current situation in the country, several people of our country who were daily labourers or they were working in some factory or company have got unemployed. And as per WHO, these situation will last for a long duration. Govt. is emphasizing on promoting the cottage industry or we can say small scale industry so that people can earn their livelihood by working in these industries. As we know that Cottage Industry is a form of unorganized industry in which people are engaged for craftsmanship works such as handicraft, pottery, knitting, handloom, etc. These industries are generally set up at the individual's home or a nearby place and the workers use traditional equipment. In these cottage industries, one can start various works like are Carpentry, smithy ,carpet weaving, silk weaving, leather industry, metal handicrafts, pottery, blanket making, stone carving etc. These cottage industries do not any huge budget to set up and as one can start such industry at their homes too. Even the unemployed people can think of small scale food processing industry for chips making, rusk, biscuits etc. Even Govt. has announced loans to set up these industries and that too on lowest interest rates. In the current scenario, setting up of cottage industries is a need of hour and this will definitely help the poor people and will also reduce the unemployment rate in the country.
