Joint secretary in the external affairs ministry of India becomes the Indian ambassadors to South Korea. Ambassadors generally appointed in common wealth nations that are also in good terms with India. Any citizen of the country who is a IFS or Indian Foreign service holder can become an ambassador. He/she should have at least few years of diplomatic experience to handle the post.  

I really want to be the ambassador to South Korea because one thing it’s important for having a hold on the trade navigation. This can only be possible through strategically tied association and also economic ties with the East Asian country. Recently Indian ambassador to South Korea Vishnu parakash said that two countries are working towards maintain the economic relationship as South Korea is one of the fast growing economies and by maintaining a strategic ties with the country will help developing economies like India. With Act East policy by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and New South policy by South Korea, the countries aim at deepening the ties with each other. Further joint statement by both the countries highlighted the fact that both India and South Korea have to focus more on the possibilities to coordinate with the defense and strategic spheres. This will help in enhancing the military exchanges, training and experience sharing and R&D including use of innovative technologies for mutual beneficiary. Both the countries have also agreed on intensifying the leadership level contact between the countries and also resolved work together for adding substance to bilateral cooperation in extending peace and prosperity between the countries. So I think by becoming the Indian ambassador to South Korea I can ensure the above mentioned key areas will be taken care of and also make sure that harmony between both the countries. And also ensure India gains economic progress as a benefit of the partnership between both the countries.
