2. If the IDL was a straight line, some places sharing a common region/country would have had a complete day's gap between them which would create a lot of confusion. So to avoid this, ths IDL is not straight.
3. (i) Alauddin Khilji fixed the prices of goods and units of weighs and other measurements.
(ii) Alauddin introduced 'chehra' to keep record of each soilder commisioned by state and 'dagh' to prevent the replacement of high quality horses imported from Persia with poor quality local horses by the trainers and soilders.
