The area of circle AC = 3.14 x 30^2 sq. meter. = 3.14 x 900 sq. m

The area of the circle including the running track will increase due the width -10 m getting added to the radius of the circle. Hence the new radius will be 30 + 10 =40 m.

Hence the area including the track width = 3.14 X 40^2 = 3.14 x 1600 sq.m

Hence area of the track = 3.14 x 1600 - 3.14 x 900 = 3.14 x 700 = 2198 sq. meter.
