Answer:-

The rule of the law means that all laws apply equally to all citizens of the country, and nobody is above the law. Every citizen is equal before the law; irrespective of religion, caste, gender, economic status or political power. Even the President of India has to obey the rule of law.

Answer:-

The British government did not allow all adults to vote nor could people participate in decision making, so the nationalist movement supported the idea that all adults have a right to vote.

or

in the fear of the British government and did not agree with many of the decisions that they took.But they faced great dangers if they tried to criticize this decisions.The freedom movement changed the situations and openly criticize the British government and their decisions. They demanded that there should be elected members in the legislature with a right to discuss the budget and ask questions. That is why our national movement supported the idea that all adults have a Right to vote.

the industries which depends on agricultural products for their raw materials are knwn as agro based industries. ex: cotton textile industry , sugar industry. the industries which depends on minerals as their raw materials are known as mineral based industry.ex: iron and steel industry..

Answer:-

  1. In march 1859 ryots refused to grow Indigo and also refused to pay rent to the planters.
  2. .British government was worried about another Revolt after 1857 so the Government of Indigo Commission to inqure the system of Indigo production.
  3. The commission for integrity of their methods.
  4. It declared that Indigo cultivation was not profitable for ryots so after fulfilling the existing contract they could stop the cultivation of Indigo.
  5. After this Revolt,Indigo production collapsed in Bengal

The British changed their policies as a result of rebellion of 1857 in these ways.

  1. British queen Elizabeth I took charge of administration and British Parliament passed an act in 1859. The powers of the East India Company were taken back and transferred to the British crown.
  2. The rulers of Indian princely states were given assurance that their territories would not be annexed by the British. But the Indian rulers had to be loyal towards the British crown.
  3. The British assured the land owners by making policies which protect their land.
  4. The British reorganized their army by reducing the number of Indian soldiers and increasing the number of European soldiers.
  5. The British decided to respect the customary religions and social practices of the people in India.
