3) Mahatma Gandhi was a great patriotic Indian, if not the greatest. He was a man of an unbelievably great personality. He certainly does not need anyone like me praising him. Furthermore, his efforts for Indian independence are unparalleled. Most noteworthy, there would have been a significant delay in independence without him. Consequently, the British because of his pressure left India in 1947.

Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence is probably his most important contribution. This philosophy of non-violence is known as Ahimsa. Most noteworthy, Gandhiji’s aim was to seek independence without violence. He decided to quit the Non-cooperation movement after the Chauri-Chaura incident. This was due to the violence at the Chauri Chaura incident. Consequently, many became upset at this decision. However, Gandhi was relentless in his philosophy of Ahimsa

In conclusion, Mahatma Gandhi was one of the greatest political icons ever. Most noteworthy, Indians revere by describing him as the “father of the nation”. His name will certainly remain immortal for all generations.


Jawaharlal Nehru

Jawaharlal Nehru was born on November 14th, 1889, at Allahabad. His father, Moti Lal Nehru was a famous barrister. He had his primary education from English tutors at home. He was sent to England for high school studies. He took up education in law. After completing the law, he returned to India. He had a burning passion for his country’s independence.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister of India. He worked hard with Mahatma Gandhi during the freedom struggle. Invariably wearing a red rose, he was adored by the masses. He was a great leader and a master builder of modern India. That is why he is known as the architect of our nation. He had plans to build a great and strong India. He was a man with determination and strength of character. His love for people and affection for children made him very popular. He was a great writer and thinker.

After serving the nation and mankind for a long time, he died on 27th May 1964. He left behind a rich heritage of planning and development. He started the cycle of progress and social justice. He created a network of educational, technical and medical institutions. He built large industrial, agricultural, irrigation and power projects. His contributions are noteworthy in all the fields. He was one of the few men who could make an impact on the country and the world. His birthday, November fourteenth is celebrated as Children’s Day. This reminds us of his great character, ideals, and deeds. In the words of Winston Churchill, “He had conquered all things including fear.”
