1.Write the relation between speed of sound,frequency and wavelength?
ans:-Speed of the sound is distance travelled by the sound wave per unit time . Denote buy 'v' distance travelled by soundwave in a peroidic time(T)=Wave length(lambda)
v=lambda/T-----(1)
But 1/T=v(frequency)
sub.in (1)
v=lambda*v
hence proved.

Let the time period of a wave be T seconds

In T seconds , number of waves generated =1

So, in 1 sec , number of waves generated =1/T

But number of waves generated in 1 second is frequency

frequency=1/T

velocity= distance travelled/time taken

V= λ/T=1/T× λ

V=frequency/λ

Your method is also correct

The relation between speed, frequency, and wavelength of sound is v = fλ.

Given,

The speed(v), frequency(f), and wavelength(λ) of the sound.

To Find,

The relation between speed, frequency, and wavelength of sound.

Solution,

Let us assume that the time period of a wave is T seconds

In T seconds, the number of waves generated =1

So, in 1 sec, the number of waves generated =1/T

But the number of waves generated in 1 second is the frequency.

So,

frequency=1/T

velocity= distance travelled/time taken

V= λ/T=1/T× λ

V= f*λ

Hence, the relation between speed, frequency, and wavelength of sound is v = fλ.
