Answer:

Three rational no. between 0,4−3 can be found by dividing the following number by a positive integer.

For example:2(4−3)=8−3

Simillarly if we divide it by 4 and 8 we get,16−3,32−3

Therefore the three rational are 8−3,16−3,32−3 that lies between 0,4−3.

Three rational numbers between 3/8 and 7/8 is 1/2, 5/8 and 3/4.

Given: Two numbers 3/8 and 7/8 is given

To find: Three rational numbers between them

Solution: A rational number is expressed in the form p/q where p and q are integers and q is not equal to 0.

Since the numbers 3/8 and 7/8 are fractions where denominator is same, the three rational numbers can be written by just adding 1,2 and 3 to the numerator of fraction 3/8 while keeping the denominator same.

On adding 1 to the numerator of 3/8, the rational number = 4/8 = 1/2

On adding 2 to the numerator of 3/8, the rational number = 5/8

On adding 3 to the numerator of 3/8, the rational number = 6/8 = 3/4

Clearly, these rational numbers are less than 7/8 and are greater than 3/8.
