Given :

x – (1/x) = 3√3

Formula used :

a2 + (1/a)2 = [a - (1/a)]2 + 2

a3 – (1/a)3 = [a – (1/a)]3 + 3[a – (1/a)]

Calculations :

[x – (1/x)] = 3√3

So,

x2 + (1/x2) = (3√3)2 + 2

⇒ 29

√3[x2 + (1/x2)]. = 29√3

Now

x3 – (1/x)3 = (3√3)3 + 3(3√3)

⇒ 90√3

[x3 – (1/x)3] - √3[x2 + (1/x2)] = 90√3 – 29√3

⇒ 61√3

∴ 61√3
