convince him by saying the importance of eyes sight and it should be in a way so he can easily understand.

He would be encouraged by telling him/her the importance of wearing glasses. He/She would also be convinced by letting him/her know about the disadvantages of not wearing glasses.
And atlast if he/she isn't convinced there is a option for wearing eye lenses.
