My mother has great taste when it comes to decorating the house. So, it was no surprise when she brought home an exquisite statue of the Laughing Buddha. Though she placed it on a side table in a corner in the living room, everyone seems to be drawn to it.
The statue is golden coloured, with the robes in pleasing pastel colours. The fat man's expressions are cheerful too, for he is laughing heartily. He holds a pouch in his right hand, almost ready to give it away. What makes the statue unique is that the robes look like they are embroidered. The sculptor has taken great pains to add intricate details to the statue. Also, the fact that the Laughing Buddha brings good luck and prosperity, makes everyone seek his blessings.
