10,100,200,310? find the missing term ?

10+90=100

100+100=200

200+110=310

310+120=430

Lets try to observe the pattern in this series:-


  • Difference of 100 and 10 is 90.
  • Difference of 200 and 100 is 100.
  • Difference of 210 and 200 is 110.

We observe, that the difference between numbers is increasing by 10 with each term.


Add 10 to 110, we get 120.


Let the next term to be x.


So, x - 310 = 120


Transposing:-


x = 120 + 310

x = 430


So, 430 is the missing term !
