Steps 1
Plug a flash drive into your computer's USB port. Find a USB port on your computer, and make sure your USB flash drive is plugged in.
-Your flash drive must be able to hold at least 8 GB.
-Creating a recovery drive will erase everything in your flash drive.

Click the Image titled Android7search.png icon on your computer's desktop taskbar. This button is located next to the Start menu button in the lower-left corner of your desktop.
-If you don't see this button on your desktop, you can open the Start menu.

Search Create a recovery drive on your computer. The recovery feature from your Control Panel will show up as the best match.

Click Create a recovery drive in the search results. This will open the Recovery Drive setup in a new pop-up window.

Select the USB flash drive you want to use as your recovery drive. Find your flash drive's name on the list of available drives, and click on it.
