So, we will shift 10 from LHS to RHS,

So we will shift 2y from  RHS to LHS,

10=2y+5\\-2y=5-10\\=-2y=-5\\y=\frac{-5}{-2} \\y=\frac{5}{2} \\y=2.5

Hence, value of "y" in above equation will be 2.5.
